What if there was a dress to match the socks, but when the model showed up wearing the ensemble all of the set dressers passed out? so they put that lovely tweed coat on her over the distressing dress and just photographed the socks?

Wow, I love those socks. I used to wear socks like that to the nursing home where I worked to cheer people up. Nothing brightens up peoples day like brightly colored fugly socks!

Call me a fug-lover, but I like the socks. Do they put weird, crazy things on an otherwise normal looking person to call attention to the weird crazy things?
Pom-poms must go...will have nightmares...

I rather love these socks, actually. I like the folk art design and the color palette is loud but well-harmonized. I agree that the pom-poms don't help (I'm not much of a bobble or pom-pom fan in general).

I would wear these socks with a simple grey skirt and black or hot pink chinese slippers.

It takes guts to stand out, and it helps to live in an urban area where people aren't afraid to wear quirky things, but bright patterns like this can cheer up your entire day.

Yeah, they're bright and cheery...ditch the poms. I wouldn't wear them, I like matching Seattle winters...LOL. Me? In COLOURS? I don't think so.

What kind of shoes would you wear with these socks--why, Crocs, of course--or roller skates. And surely there's a matching hat.

These are wonderful. So far the hideous cat suit is the only really fugly thing you've posted. The sweater with the yarn meatballs on it is pretty bad too, but not even close. I sought out the pattern for the Halloween vest, found the book for sale on Knit Picks site, and posted a link to it on my own site. You really would have done better to feature more of the catsuit designer's weird items, as I sure did on my own site.
