Corset Belt
Oh dear…LOL! I guess unless you are dressing up for a costume party what on earth would you wear this with? And to think Rowan came up with this thing too. It’s circa 1880 really and did they not realize we are in the 21st century?
The model freaks me out too…yikes, wouldn’t want to meet up with her in a dark back alley - she’s liable to bite your neck.
For the photos that are difficult to see, we will be linking to larger images - just click on the photo!

Looks like Buffy the Vampire Slayer has made her way into Rowan’s designer ranks… and she has tricked us all… this project looks (BIG GULP)….crocheted.

LOL! It very well could be! Maybe I should shift it over to What Not to Crochet! Oh well, fug is fug…

Corset Belt? It doesn’t look like a corset belt. It doesn’t look like corset-ANYthing! It looks like, … It looks like a placemat. That’s what it is! A placemat! And she found it and says to herself, “I wonder if it matches my dress?”

It looks like she saw someone at the party with the same dress on, so she grabbed grandma’s table runner and wrapped it around her waist! Ick.

I love the dress. I hate to say it but the only part that’s ugly is the crochet’d belt.
And the model. That dress would be really pretty on someone normal-looking. I don’t know why they went uber-vamp with this thing.

PS: I’m an idiot. I forgot for a moment that I’m on WNTK and not WNTC. Allow me to correct myself: The ugly part is the *knitted* belt.

Please don’t let Full Moon Productions see this! They own some haunted houses here, and if they saw that, they’d want my elder daughter to wear it. . .

Actually, the model is thinking, “geez, I put on this too tight belt and it made my hair explode! I hate this job!”

WNTK, fug is fug… I’d leave it here too! Isn’t the work behind the hideous flower called a spider pattern? And is that meant to pull the concept together? Buffy needs to go back to slaying demons and not creating them…

Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice!

Hmmm, I have that dress, but it looks much better with a real corset.
Wouldn’t this just roll down like a pantyhose waist when she bends over?

Wouldn’t this just roll down like a pantyhose waist when she bends over?
My question too! Unless it has stays knitted/crocheted/hexed into it. Maybe that’s how you tell the Evil Dead, by the lack of fashion sense. C’mon, Buffy wouldn’t be caught dead in this! Maybe Elvira. I see she got her hair done by the same hairdresser that did Frankies wife.
This model should really, really stay inside during thunderstorms!

I’ll agree, the dress itself it pretty! The corset looks almost like a table runner that somebody decided would be perfect for the dress.
The hair made me ask: Is this the Bride of Frankenstein or did she receive an electrical shock? lol

I think they need to revoke the designer’s “Goth Pass” and send her/him back to Annie’s…..

Did Halloween come early this year?? I honestly thought it was a costume and not something you’d wear in real life.

Looks like someone needs to take some electives in how to be emo/goth.

the picture is so bad that even when enlarged I can’t tell what this really looks like. But have you never heard of an “obi”? This could be very chic - let’s try for a little sophistication here.

Why has she got 1980’s hair?
January 12, 2007 at 6:49 am
1) It should also be noted that the model is the winner of the 2006 International Mascarathon.
2) If Gomez Addams was gonna chippy around on his wife, we now know who it’d be with.

It looks more like a cummerbund than a corset. Aren’t corsets supposed to lift and give cleavage? That’s what my corset does, but I only wear mine UNDER my Renaissance dress that it was made to go with!

Well, I think the model is beautiful and I love her hair. if i could wear that in public i would.

When I first glanced at this I thought she was holding a crocheted pillow in front of her. How terrible.

Well, I do agree that said ‘corset belt’ is pretty … interesting … but come on, you think she’ll bite your neck? Stereotype much. This girl wouldn’t know goth if it came up and BIT her in the ass.
As for the hair that everyone’s poking fun at … look on the runway. You see that all the time.
