Very useful! You can use a lactation-teaching doll, or, as I've (seriously - I'm not kidding here) seen one lactation consultant do it, demonstrate with your own mouth. It's an image not quickly forgotten. Breastfeeding is natural, but it takes a little know-how. Do you think that if I knit one and send it to the charity, they would mind if I knit another to keep and use as a teaching tool? These (also known as Tit Bits) are used for women who have had Mastectomies but find that the prosthetics are horribly uncomfortable. My first thought was that it would be used to teach breast self-exams--Maybe the knitter hid beans inside for the student to find--but that was just too weird a thought.
